Private Dental Patients

You may choose to be a private patient and sometimes a patient might not be entitled to NHS registration. As a private dental patient you will receive the same high level of care as an NHS dental patient and you can choose from a wide range of treatments.

Cosmetic dental treatments such as dental veneers, teeth straightening, and white fillings are not available under NHS dentistry because these treatments are not essential to the health of your teeth. You can pay for these treatments privately as either a private or NHS patient.

General dentistry treatments available in West Swindon

We offer a wide range of general, cosmetic and restorative dental treatments. Some of the more common general dental treatments include:

  • Regular check-up

This is the most popular reason for patients to see us. You should visit your dentist every 6 to 12 months so that we can check on the health of your teeth, gums and mouth. We work with you in a preventative way to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. In doing so, we aim to prevent costly and further problems from developing in the future.

  • Root Canal

If the blood or nerve supply to your tooth becomes infected it can be painful. Your dentist can remove the infection from the root canal to prevent it from spreading.

  • Dental extractions

When the blood or nerve supply to the tooth becomes infected, it can become painful. We remove all the infection from the root canal to prevent the spread of infection.

  • Fillings

Fillings are used to repair cavities in your teeth. We can provide amalgam or silver fillings as part of the NHS dental service. We can also provide white fillings which are popular because they colour matched to naturally blend in the rest of your teeth.

  • Periodontics

This area of dentistry helps to protect and look after the gums and supporting structures of your teeth. Our skilled periodontists can treat mild cases of gum disease through to the more serious form of gum disease known as periodontitis.

  • Emergencies

Dental emergencies cover anything from excruciating toothache to knocking out a tooth or suffering with a painful abscess. We can help our emergency dentists will aim to see you within 24 hours of you calling.
